The Kettering Children’s Choir has established a local and national reputation of choral excellence and is one of the largest and most successful children’s choral programs in the state of Ohio.
Founded in 1986, KCC now includes almost 200 singers from 9 counties and 30 Miami Valley communities. Singers range in age from 8 to 18 and are admitted to the program by audition.
Mrs. Smith is the director of the Concert Choir. She earned her Bachelor’s of Music in Education from Bowling Green State University. Currently, in her 29th year as Director of Choirs at Stebbins High School, she has grown the program to include four curricular choirs as well as theatre classes. In addition, Christina worked as the Assistant Director for the Choirs of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and as an adjunct faculty member at WSU.
Beyond her work at school and in the community, she travels throughout the state coaching choirs and adjudicating for the Ohio Music Education Association. When home, Christina enjoys musical theatre; performing and directing as time allows. She is a big part of our KCC family!
