The singers from Concert Choir, directed by Christina Smith, and Cantamus, directed by Sean Hurley, along with accompanist, Raymonde Rougier, traveled to Montreal, Toronto and Niagara Falls in the month of June.

After crossing the border in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, the singers plus their
eight chaperones took a walking tour of old Montreal. After lunch at the Place Montreal Trust, the travelers climbed Mount Royal to overlook the city and took some great photos. Dinner Wednesday night was at the Sucrerie de la Montagne (Sugar Shack) that featured a traditional Quebecois meal.

Thursday began with the first performance of the trip at Notre-Dame Basilica. The choir sang for 30 minutes and then took lunch at Atwater Market.
After some shopping on St. Catherine's Street, dinner was Italian fare at Weinstein's and Gavino's. The activity this evening was a ride on the Montreal Observation Wheel.

Friday was a travel day to Toronto and a trip through a new attraction downtown called Little Canada. The singers had great fun trying to find the moose in each 1/8th-inch-scaled diorama modeled after the country of Canada.

Dinner was at the Hothouse Café and after, travelers rode the elevator 1,814 feet to the top of the CN Tower to look at Toronto from above.

The last day of the tour took everyone to Niagara Falls for the second performance of the trip.

Again, the choir performed for about 30 minutes and then toured the Canadian side of the falls. They got to ride the Voyage to the Falls and then go Journey Behind the Falls - amazing, up-close views of the water. The trip home began Saturday afternoon.

Singers and chaperones both agreed that this was a fantastic trip that allowed for many great memories to be made!
