October has been filled with energy, new faces, and inspiring music! From welcoming new singers to celebrating our Singer of the Month, the Kettering Children’s Choir community continues to shine brightly.

🌟 Singer of the Month: Ava

👋 Welcome to Our New Singers

We’re thrilled to welcome several new members this fall!

The Chorus has grown by three singers since our first rehearsal and now totals 20 voices strong.
The Concert Choir has welcomed three new singers this season.
And five new singers auditioned in September — welcome to the KCC family!

We’re so proud of the excitement, commitment, and musicianship each of you brings to rehearsals.

“Rehearsals have been improving each week, and the singers’ energy is contagious! We’re preparing for our upcoming performance at Christmas in Springboro on Sunday, November 23, from 2:00–2:30 PM.”

From Mr. Bruce Swank – Chorale Director

“The Chorale has been working hard on Benjamin Britten’s ‘This Little Babe’ from A Ceremony of Carols. Its speed and intensity have captured the singers’ enthusiasm! They’ll join the Concert Choir for this piece. Our musicianship classes are also going beautifully — the singers are mastering solfege and staff reading and are proud of their progress.”

🎃 Halloween Rehearsal — Tuesday, October 28Wear your favorite costume (no masks, please) for our annual Halloween-themed rehearsal — you might end up featured on our website!

🤝 Bring-a-Friend Night — Tuesday, November 4Invite a friend who loves to sing! It’s the perfect time to introduce future January auditionees to KCC.

🎤 Fundraising Gala Auditions — November 11 & 18Prepare a Broadway-style solo or duet (memorized, with optional prop or costume). The Gala will be held Saturday, February 28 — mark your calendars!

🎄 Christmas in Springboro — Sunday, November 23Come cheer on our Chorus as they perform holiday favorites downtown!
